Liken Home Care is a Licensed Home Care Agency in the state of PA. We offer a full range of Home Care services for seniors, the disabled, and the recovering ill within a care plan that is customized for each individual person.  Improving a person’s quality of life is our mission as well as providing peace of mind for his or her family.  Inquiring about our home care services is a simple process where we will listen to your individual needs  and assist you in crafting the best home care solution for the person in need.

Meet the Team:

Robert D. Liken CPC, CTS, President Liken Home Care

Graduate of Penn State University, 1970

Business Administration / Accounting Major

Has been in the staffing business since 1970.  The original company LIKEN SERVICES, INC. was a general service staffing company specializing in the administrative, clerical, secretarial all office support staff positions (both temporary and direct hire) with 14 branch offices in and around W. PA.  As a division of that company, LIKEN HEALTH CARE, INC. was started in 1974 as a medical staffing company that staffed hospitals and other health care facilities.  In 1976,  we began to “follow the patients home” and at that point we started providing private duty home care.   In 1995, the general staffing company was sold to a national, public company, and the health care staffing company was retained. Since 1995, we have concentrated our efforts in the health care marketplace.

Due to the aging baby boomers and the fact people are just living longer, in the late 90’s we refocused the company and today Liken specializes  in providing private duty assisted living to those who need help to remain at home.  A valuable service that allows an individual to remain independent in their homes for a much longer period of time as well as maintain a high level of quality of life.

Today, we specialize in providing private duty home care (Liken Home Care) to the elderly, the recovering ill, and the disabled in all of Western Pa.

In addition, Robert is CPC (Certified Personnel Consultant) and a CTS (Certified Temporary Staffing Specialist); professional designations of the National Association of Personnel Services.

Emma Acker – General Manager

Emma Acker has been with the company since July 1993.  Emma’s overall responsibility is to oversee the operations of Liken Home Care. This includes regulatory compliance, backroom support, general operations as well as financial operations including helping all consumers, inquiries and clients to understand their financial options for payment as well as coordinating all insurance companies and assignment of benefits.

In her time not at work, Emma enjoys spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Susan Arthur - Administrative - Payroll/Billing

Susan Arthur has been with the company since July 2013.  Her position includes various duties, including but not limited too, working with authorizations, billing, and payroll.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her daughter, granddaughters and family.

Rachel Bauman – Branch Service Supervisor - Beaver Office

Rachel Bauman has been with the company since September 2018.  Rachel’s responsibility is to oversee the Care Manager Program, as well as coordinate the recruiting of quality field employees.  She  maintains good community relationships, to assure quality service in Beaver County and the West area of Pgh.

Rachel has 19 years experience in the home care and staffing business.  She has 2 sons and in her spare time she enjoys reading, traveling with her husband,  and spending quality time with her family.

Lindsey Cush - Staffing Coordinator - Beaver Office

Lindsey Cush has been with Liken since September 2019.   She started as the Recruiter and moved on to the Staffing Coordinator position.

In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her loved ones and she also really loves to be able to sit down and dig into a good book when she has the time.

Stacy Dixon - Private Duty Coordinator / Recruiter - South Office

Stacy Dixon has been with the company since September 2019.  She started as a Staffing Coordinator and is currently transitioning to the Private Duty side of the business.  She is responsible for the hiring and scheduling of the Private Duty, one on one, consumers in the Canonsburg and surrounding areas.

When Stacy is not working, you'll most likely find her at home relaxing with her daughter and 5 fur-babies.

Nicole Frayvolt - Off Hours Coordinator

Nicole Frayvolt has been with the company since April 2019.  Off Hours Coordinator responsibilities include scheduling, handling call offs, answering questions, customer service, and other as needed tasks.

In her off time, Nicole enjoys artwork, gardening, refinishing furniture, and spending time with her children.

Cynthia Hughes - Payroll / Billing

Cindy Hughes has been with the company since May 2003.  Cindy is responsible for the payroll and billing processes of Liken.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and two dogs, reading, and art.

Palma Ivan – Operations Manager

Palma Ivan has been with the company since August 2010.  Palma’s overall responsibility is to oversee the Operations of Liken Home Care.  In addition to the general operations and compliance for our three offices, she oversees the community relations of the company.  Her passion  for educating and helping others in the community is the reason she has been in the home care industry for over 25 years.

In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family, travelling and participates in many fundraising events for different causes.

Candice Kbrom - Service Supervisor - Pittsburgh Office

Candice Kbrom has been with the company since May 2016.  Candice’s responsibility is to oversee the Private Duty Division of Liken Home Care.  This includes supervising the Patient Care Coordinators and Off Hour Coordinators, on all aspects of training and their job requirements.  In addition to these roles, she is responsible for the development and maintenance of all referral source, care management, opportunities in the marketplace, relationship building and that the goals are met for the private duty division.

In addition to her role at Liken Home Care, Candice enjoys spending time with her family and taking advantage of every opportunity to do adventures with her young children.

Judy Kopay - Recruiter - Pittsburgh Office

Judy Kopay has been with the company since August 2019.  She is responsible for screening potential field employees, scheduling interviews and hiring qualified Caregivers.

Judy is a Penguins fan, enjoys traveling with family and going to the beach.

Elizabeth "Libby" Padron - Staffing Coordinator / Recruiter - Pittsburgh Office

Elizabeth Padron has been with Liken since April 2019.  As a Facility Coordinator and Recruiter, she will take you from application to orientation and beyond!  Once hired, she will get you working in one of our numerous facilities and group homes.  She enjoys building relationships and meeting new acquaintances!

When she is not working, she has several businesses that take up her time.  She enjoys exploring with her husband and children as well as traveling back home to California to visit family and friends.

Patrick Recce - Recruiter - Beaver Office

Patrick Recce has been with the company since December 2019.  Patrick is the main recruiter for the Beaver Office.  He is responsible for interviewing and hiring quality candidates to expand our team.

Patrick's past experience includes being a Service Coordinator.  Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family, especially with his dad since his mom passed away and he doesn't like him to be alone.  He is a huge Pittsburgh Steelers fan and watches all of the games with his family and friends.

Kayla Reese - Staffing Coordinator / Recruiter - South Office

Kayla Reese has been with the company since November 2018.  Kayla is responsible for scheduling and hiring for the Facility Clients in the Canonsburg and surrounding areas.

When she isn't working, Kayla likes hiking with her dog and exploring the city.

Michelle Sallinger - Human Resources Manager

Michelle Sallinger has been with the company since April 2004.  Michelle's responsibility is to enhance the company's human resources and recruiting by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations, policies, programs, and practices.  She is responsible for implementing employee benefit programs.

In her time not at work, Michelle loves spending time with her daughters.  She enjoys watching them participate in cheerleading and basketball.  She has 3 dogs, 3 cats and a bunny that are also a part of the family.  She is also a part time hair stylist.
